Title: rescued hound won't eat
Post by: rober on May 26, 2017, 01:00:35 pm
we just got a 2nd rescued hound. the rescue vet is calling him a treeing walker but i'm voting fox hound. we found out after we got him home that the fosterererererer care giver has been feeding him meat & fish from the fridge. it's been 3 days & he's not eaten any dog food yet. our redbone likes carrots & apple & bananas for treats so the new dog has eaten some of that. the wife is all concerned but my philosophy that he'll eat when he gets hungry enough. he is a little skittish but for the most part has settled right in. he & the redbone are getting along fine & are interacting quite well. anyone had a similar experience?

Our greys go off their grub for a couple of days at a time, nothing unusual for them.

Well rober, I'm going to ask this question...I'm a mother okay?

My first thoughts when stuff like this happens is "Do you have to pooh?" "When did you last pooh?" "What does your pooh look like?"

And, I would like to know what kind of fish was given to your new pup?
