I built this fixture on a piece of wood 9 1/2" x 40" x 3/4" just what I had around. On the left end I screwed W T Kelley's wiring device to it as my pictures show. Instruction are on pictures as to how to build and use.

Hey Skydiver, that is an incredibly great DIY photo display! :thread: :goodjob: :photos:

Nice set up Skydiver! I saw one something along the lines of yours but instead of the block that you twist to stress the sidebar they had put in a mechanical toggle to push it over.

Yep a destaco clamp not a bad idea if one has one or wants to order one. My pivot clamp works the same just got to get the pivot point right or it will not stay in the clamped possession. Thanks for the link it may help others that may want to use it instead.

I have seen the toggle but never thought of making one of wood. Which amazes me because I built a roll around cart for my bandsaw and used a cam just like it to lift the front wheel.

Got to see this fixture in action last Saturday. Hmmm...guess his jacket gave him away.
