 Lost my mom, going to Milwaukee. She was unplugged and expected not to live the night in August. Hospice for a facility for people with expectancy of 10 days. Released to home care with 24 hour care in November. Hospice cancelled in December. She was out driving and harassing the working folk on the roads in December. Now all of a sudden we get the call to come back home and lay her to rest. Been a long road. I think I am all grieved out but it is still early in the process.
I feel a little guilty since I was bragging about how she showed them doctors earlier this week. My uncle was pissed that after all that she went back to the doctors in the beginning of the month and this was what they did for her.

Know the pain, minz. My condolences.

Sometimes there not much that can be said, or I don't know what to say. My own experiences have shown that only time will allow you to deal with the hurt of such a huge loss. Everyone else has pretty much already said what can be said, so I will just say that my thoughts are with you friend.

Minz, only time will heal the pain---and then, not completely. NOTHING can replace a mother.
From your description, it sounds like she went the way she wanted to, and in her own due time. She must have been quite a woman.
May she continue to live with you in happy memories.
