It's hard to be mad at her, she's still a toddler. What's funny is when she's found something she knows she's not supposed to chew on, she'll bring me a piece of it like an offering "Sorry mom, the temptation was just too great..."

Oh boy Jen, you have your hands full with that one!  I babysat our neighbor's puppy Mastiff the other day.  As typical with most puppies, had to mouth everything, that's how they learn their world.  She actually went right up to one of my hives and stuck her nose in the entrance.  She escaped without a sting!
Although, she thinks she's a lap dog LOL!

Hi Les, beautiful puppy and I love very big dogs, but must confess that large dogs, as I get older, can be cumbersome.

This is when we brought Phoebe home 5 months ago, pretty sure she's got 20 more pounds on now

Jen, that photo is hysterical!!  My neighbor lost three dogs in 10 months.  Two Mastiffs and a St Bernard!  IMHO I think she's nuts to take on another Mastiff.  Did I mention she still has one St Bernard left?  She was
Injured in a car accident, had neck surgery and the surgeons won't even touch her lower back.  She has radiculopathy and is in constant pain.  Why she felt the need to take on the work of another Mastiff is beyond me.  When the bus for common sense pulled up, she obviously did not get on LOL!

Mastiff's have always intrigued me, but it's the drool thing. I didn't know that danes drool, so we keep a towel on the floor of the dining room at all times and keep sliding it around with our feet to keep the drool up. Mastiff's I believe drool even more, so I doubt I'll go with a mastiff in my later years.

................... :D

i watched my neighbors two dogs the last couple days.....feed, water, let out, etc............love the dogs. one drools terribly, black lab, military dog (bombs)brought back to the states from iraq. he has cancer and is in kinda bad shape.  the other she is a mix of i don't remember what. she is fun. both really are, personalities are great. this morning, i fed them, let them out, and sat on the neighbors skinny porch to drink my coffee, both dogs fought for a place to sit beside me and slobber up my face pretty good! gotta love em!  er..........don't like slobber on my face though!............. :D

That is where Phoebe is pretty good.. she doesn't get into our faces which is wonderful. But she will go get a good long drink and come and lay that big head on my forearm, hence copious amounts of drool and water flow to the floor.
