Queen Anne's Lace.
-
No, I know what Queen Ann's Lace is, this is more of a shrub. Left alone it gets very tall, this one was about 8 or 9 ft.. I'll go take a few more pics. Thanks Some Day! Ted

Here's a couple more pics. The stem is woody with a soft "pithy" center.

Hang on, I might have the answer to that... What state do you live in Ted?
Update: It's an elderberry bush, could be domestic or wild. You gonna make some wine ?? ;D
-
I was wondering if it wasn't a berry shrub. Thanks Jen! No wine but wondered if bees might like it as it grows wild. Ted
-
You betcha
-

-
Yes its an elderberry. I've seen my bees work it a little this year. I hadn't seen them work it before I've caught them on it in the mornings more that afternoon for some reason.
-
Thanks Guys! Apis, I don't understand. Pollen 2 out of 5? 2 out of 5 what. Same question about nectar. Thanks in advance, Ted
-
Attractiveness importance to bees as a resource for them in the forum of pollen and nectar 1 star is least and 5 being a very good source for the bees.
