Did it last year but on a lesser scale. Was pouring boiling water through some lines at the honey house, gearing up the extracting equipment for the start of the season. Must have got an air pocket somewhere as the darn thing burped and boiling water came back through the line and all over my wrist. The only spot not burned was where my watch was.
I just brought out a new 40 gallon hot water tank a few days ago but don't have it hooked up yet. My plan is to rig up a hose and nipple and to just flush all the lines under pressure instead of pouring it in.

What I hate the most is that feeling of how much I have to do and I don't have time for this especially now. Buddy, I real hate that for you, I truly do. Just make sure you take care of that and watch for any signs of infection, my friend ended up in the hospital from a burn from infection. I know you definitely don't have time for that.
On a lighter note, it's a good time to learn to go sleeveless and gloveless.

Oh man... OUUUUCH! I HATE burns! I hate them with a passion. Smash, cut, anything but burn. I'd rather be stung by fifty bees than get burnt like that.... I AM TRULY feeling your pain... I will probably have nightmares tonight....
I head for Maine in a couple days, the wife has the shotgun loaded with slugs tonight. A bear ripped the door off her back porch last night, so maybe I will have a bear rug to tan when I get to Maine! I do think I need to be careful when I arrive. i hope she remembers that bears dont't knock?? I usually don't either, but now I think i will. My hide would look awful hanging on her wall.

Throw your hat inside, if it comes back out leave.

CBT? I didn't know bears could throw hats back out the door...

Oh Perry! I feel for 'ya. Been there, done that.
Many years back, I was wearing hiking boots at work and I slopped boiling water down into the boot. I couldn't get that boot off fast enough. I have a scar on my ankle from that burn. It took a long time for that to heal. I think it was because I had to keep putting a sock and shoe back on to go to work. Air, give it air and maybe some honey.

Perry, that is a nasty burn. I would truly keep a very close eye on it so it doesn't become infected. If you see red streaks up your arm, get thee to the ER!
-
Sorry to see that Perry. Hope it heals quickly. :)

Dark purple and skin is all puckered up! I reached into my pocket to grab some coin and forgot all about it, pretty near hit the roof! :D
Not hard to tell where my watch was though. ;D Funny thing, for the most part very little pain after the initial scald.

OWWWWEEEEE!

A little boiled Perry to go with that boiled lobster?
Ouch. You may wanna take that to the doctor.
-
That looks worse Perry. Are you right or left handed?
-
If no or little pain? you probably have a 3rd degree burn  Go to the doctor. Infection can be serious. Sorry that happened buddy, i've seen alot of bad burns and had a few my self :o. Jack

One of my daughters got a very nasty burn several years back, the doctor gave her a prescription for silvadene or thermazene which is silver sulfadiazine 1%. This is a creme and will work wonders on a burn.
-
Hope that burn is healing, the Silvadene cream would help but keep it covered with some loose gauze. If you rip that burn open, you are setting yourself up for infection.
