I saw this t-shirt at the market today and I had to stop the guy and take a pic of it. Ain't it the truth?

Ain't it the truth, but I'd rather be older than be a young one today I think :-\ :\'(

I agree CBT! I believe our generation is the last to enjoy riding bikes with all the neighborhood kids. Not allowed to answer the phone until after dinner. Playing outside after dark. Casper the Friendly Ghost. Soda Fountains. The house that always had popsicles. Popcorn popped in a pan not in a bag..
Now I'm sounding like a facebook post... LOL

Phone dials that TURNED, or worse you had to crank to power the line. Butter, cream and ice cream made with LABOR. There were no computers, no internet, so you HAD to go find something to do... when a family reunion was FUN rather than a drag..
However... Getting older, I think this was pretty close to what I imagined... I made it to Maine, already working on the projects the wife had lined up for me... The problem is the "project" I had lined up for her!! I think she expected me to be worn out after day one... NOPE!

Running thru the sprinklers, riding our bike to the creek holding the fishing pole to the handle bars, coming home so dirty from 'playing outside' that my mom hosed me off in the back yard before I could take a bath, washing our cars with a hose and a bucket of soapy water.
Ya so, those projects, I still have plenty, hubby too. But there are those projects that have quieted down ;) 8) It's all good.

Sitting here waiting for my husband at the VA Hospital, is a reality check. I see some of these folks hobbling
up and down the hallway and I think, "my goodness they are so crippled up for their age" and then I realize
many are my age ahhhhhhhhhhh!

On Saturdays in the summer we could get into the theater for a double feature for 6 empty pop bottles. ;D
