Looks like bees in sugar at the top of the hive... grain bag is probably the liner lifted off, but cant zoom in on the image to get a GOOD peek...

I did look in yesterday and I have a few more dead bees on top now that I took the cage out. Thinking I might have to put in back on the way it is now I have more air coming in and I think that why I have more dead

Marty.. I cant see much in the picture, but have to ask if the sugar around the opening is stained? If so, do they have Nosema? If not, what is the staining from? Thanks!

Is that sugar ...or some type of insulation?

it is sugar. and there is no stain around it that is the bees. i also have a patty in there so maybe that's what is looking dark to you.
