Title: Fl fall
Post by: Jtcmedic on October 04, 2017, 08:41:06 pm
My bees are acting like spring , the fall flow here is crazy, they started building swarm cells(empty) and started drones but zero drones in the hive. Is this normal

Yes a flow will stimulate the hive to start raising brood. A good thing. Years ago when Italian bees were the most populous they would not slow down brood even if there was a dearth. But now with more Carniolan and Caucasian genes mixed in some hives will cease brood rearing during a dearth and will kick the drones out.
