Title: home made soap
Post by: lazy shooter on December 10, 2017, 11:32:39 am
To All:

I am interested in buying a dozen or so bars of hand soap.  Do any of you members have soap for sale, and if not, do you know someone that does?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi Lazy!  I just realized it was you posting this.  Good to hear from you!  8) Don't be a stranger.
Did you find your soap source?  There are a couple of beekeepers that sell soap at local farmer's markets.  They make wonderful products.  They also make the soaps we sell at the state fair.  I can PM you contact info if you are still looking.

I hear it's relatively easy to make honeysoap. It's something that I'm interested in looking into.

Sweet Wife crafts a line of goat milk soaps, some of which she incorporates honey into the ingredients. Alas, all my goats are dry at this time so we are patiently waiting for March to get started again. Her soaps are quite popular in our area and I would not consider using anything else.

To those that replied:

Thanks.  I found a local supplier that is only 10 miles from my home.  I bought some watermelon and barber shop scented soap from her.  She uses some honey and propolis in her products.  She does not keep bees, but has an old pal in Abilene that supplies her with the hive products.  The soap smells wonderful, and it leaves one's hands feeling like the after math of using a good hand lotion.  I am very pleased with her soap.

I do appreciate the replies I received from forum members.

My life is busy with other passions, so I don't post anymore.

I do wish you well,

lazy
