Found this interesting, but don't have Facebook so didn't get all info.https://beeinformed.org/2018/05/03/supplementing-bees-with-acai-powder-my-upcoming-summer-trial/

That's interesting, Mikey. My first reaction was surprise that they took the sugar syrup with Acai. But I thought about it, and bees will take sugar syrup with fumigillin mixed in, or red hummingbird food, or run off from candy factories, so why not.
I found this article https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s13592-015-0391-9 (https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s13592-015-0391-9) that shows that 1 day old bees are greatly effected by imidacloprid exposure. "The toxic effect of pesticide seems to be particularly dangerous in early life stages of honeybees." The older the bee, the greater the antioxidant protection.
Imidacloprid is found in a lot of things. It's used to treat pets for fleas, termites, sucking insects, etc.

Does anyone use Nozevit ?
-
Mickey, have used Nozevit compliments of Robo. No side effects that I saw. I put it in my later fall syrup feeding, did not have any issues with Nosema this winter.
-
What are tale-tale signs of nosema? Other than cleansing flight ?
-
Les,
I'd take any advice from robo!
Here i don't think we get that cold. I've heard of using fumagilin-b , before winter.

Hope you have some.
