Title: Not supposed to move the hive during the day..

Great thread title Yankee11 But i think it is more like a swarm. First they settled with an other apiary and while I was out foraging they took flight finding a hive of our own. So I have had to catch up with them a couple of times.

Great sentiment this is one of the friendliest places for beekeeping advice. and incredible support is offered to any that request it.

Nah, Garden sprinkler for a half hour over them first. They'll think it's raining and won't come out of the hive, and the ones coming back will stay there. Stuff a folded up gob of window screen in the entrance(and any other hole). Your bottom boards need to be loaded up with copper hive staples so you can pick the whole thing up in one piece with a hand cart.
