You can't eat deer, they're delicious lol It's your fault I'm going to thaw out some beef-goat-sheep-deer hard salami. It's a farm safari feast this morning :)

I thought you ate em raw Jen.. which made me more scared of you than Squirt!! But I feel better now. ;D
-
I could have ate them raw when my daughter was going thru her teen years. I tried to keep some control ~ :D
-
HEH! I know the feeling well!

Keeper ""Is that when you went oh boy it's soy?...lol""
Nope, don't eat soy ;)
-
Deep fried salted Soybeans are pretty good!

Best way to ruin a great hunt is to pull the trigger. Then the work starts.
-
I have always enjoyed the gutting of the deer in the woods, dragging it and loading it into the truck, driving home slowly.... just in case there is one more buck we can harvest and take home.
It's the cutting up of the animal that is tedius. Unless of course you have the local meat market do it for you. But we only do that if we still have hunters that need to get back out to the hunt.
-
One of the friends has a butcher room. We usually get together and spend a day cutting up all the deer and packaging them. Its not as tedious when we all work together, and dont forget the beer and salt. He has a grill right beside the butcher room!
-
Our garage turns into the butcher room. Beer, shots, muchies, tv, tall stories, pot of chili or whatever. Then we get a pic or a few and label it "Wanna touch a killer?" or "Wanna touch four killers?" which ever applies for the year
Really such a nice time of year, the air smells so good, and meat in the freezer. Which reminds me, I'm about ready for some venison taco's :) 8)
-
Down the street here is a full-service butcher. I just shoot, throw the deer in back of the truck an drive down to the butcher. Easy peasy.
-
What ever works. Just get the freezer stocked :) 8)

Friends brought it over. We made the chillie. He said he just cooks it as you would italian beef. I know he didn't put any peprochini's in it. He left that up to us.
