I noticed that Dadant has this as a new item for this year.

It has now warmed up here enough for me to start giving them some feed in jars. What is the advantage of this other than keeping the jars from falling over and raising the jar off of the frames?
Does anyone see any problem with just placing the jar directly on top of the frames? I know that the frames will cover some of the holes, but it would be really easy to feed just setting it there. I will probably build something like this because it seems to be a pretty cool idea.

I just drill holes in the middle of the lid, than center jars between frames.

I made inner covers with a 2 3/4" hole in it. Also have one with 3 holes in it. Can drill more if needed. Medium super will cover it just fine.

6 3/8" and I use quart jars.

Nice. Looks easy enough to build from my scrap wood barrel.

Them boogers stole my idea!!
