Title: Thomas Builds a Nuc Box

My younger son, Thomas, has officially built his first nuc box from the "four from a sheet of plywood" plans.  I helped him rip the strips then he cut everything else out.  I went over today and we glued and screwed one together.  Had visions of eight but the temperature was hard on the bare fingers.

Nice job there.  Still hoping to get a couple sheets this coming week and build me some more.

It must be made with canadian maple lol  What are you treating/sealing the wood off with?  Or is it Marine ply?

Here's my grandson, Jake, at his third birthday party last month.  Yep, you got, the cops showed up!

I know the coates nuc plans call for the rectangle cut-out for the entrance but I just make a 3/4" hole, lots easier.

Nice pictures.   Thanks for sharing.  What kind of party are you throwing for 3 year old's where the cops show up?  Looks like cop is trying to restrain the boy!
