Title: FEEDING FONDANT
Post by: Blair Sampson on March 22, 2021, 08:39:28 am
I have been peeking into my hives and  feeding my colonies fondant patties since mid-February.  These patties last approx 3 weeks. Since its not yet warm enough to open any of my hives for a look see, I'm wondering if the bees are consuming all of these fondant patties or do they also store a portion of patties for later consumption?

Perry can better answer this, but my "guess" would be they store liquids and only consume solids.

I am not Perry, but living in northern WI, I can also speak to this.  They do not store anything from the candy board / fondant / sugar bricks.
