Some of you may have remembered me talking about a young Kansas high school freshman back in September that broke his neck and was paralyzed from the neck down. It happened on the first play of the first game of the year, His first varsity game. He was life watched to Wichita Kansas from his home Town of Satanata. He was admitted a week later to Shriners hospital Chicago for treatment of a broken neck and a spinal cord injuries. Doctors said it would be years before he walked again if ever. His prognosis wasn't good. Saturday night I had the honor of walking with this young man around the Midian Shrine Circus he was our special guest for the night. I introducing him to performers of the circus and other Midian shrine dignitaries. While he has a ways to go he is walking and back in school. To look at him you would never know what he has been through the last few months

That is great news, MinnieMo! Kudos to all involved in making this incredible recovery happen.

The body is both fragile and tough at the same time
The medical team that saw to him on the field obviously did their job well, as the stabilization of the patient is often the most critical part of a spinal injury
Great news....

So good to hear great stories like this. Just goes to show how resilient the body is (especially when young). Kudos to you and all those that played a part in this miraculous recovery.
