Brazilian pepper has came to me. 4 years in this location and never had it before, all my hives are full of it. I was not expecting or prepared for this, I am now a little concerned about backfilled broodnests and swarming. For those not familiar with it, they make yellow comb with it.

Not being familiar with Brazilian Pepper, I googled it. So, Brazilian Pepper is an invasive tree in Florida and produces a mild flavor that resembles sweet potatoes. Is that correct? It looks like some honey producers try to make the most of it by bottling and packaging it as a specialty honey. I think it would be good in holiday baking and fall squash dishes, etc. I can see why you would be disappointed. That's very interesting yellow comb. Is that picture of a super?

I have never tried it, I am told it can have a little after taste twang to it by some. Yes that is a 7 5/8" 8 frame super. I tried to leave the bees plenty of honey when I extracted earlier this year.
