I filmed some landing board and front entrace activity of a few of my hives today.  It is truly the warmest of three days since fall the bees have been able to stretch their legs.  Some behaviors I recognized and others I didn't.  Thought this would be a good thread for those curious about what they are seeing in their yard.  I love watching my bees.  I feel like it is one of best perks of keeping them.  Enjoy.

great videos blue, they are grooming one another. your 2nd video from the  bottom up, with the two bees on the landing board.  she is cleaning her sister in areas that she herself cannot reach, nooks and crannys in the wings, thorax and abdomen.

ps love the duct tape..... :D

Thanks River, I never knew insects could have such personalities.  Previously to keeping bees, I only thought they flew around to flowers and my sweets and stung people.  They have behaviors more complicated than domesticated pets.
