Alive!!
« on: March 10, 2014, 11:46:10 pm »
Had a good meeting, the speakers topic was Neonic's...   and they still have no answer is what it came down to, but we were given numbers to call to report deaths and told that investigations would happen if we called to report problems..  So still waiting for answers..
The most shocking thing was hearing each member sound off about losses..
After the third one I started writing..    the total was 280 hives that went into fall..   82 hives are still alive today...  Not counting mine..
No dead at the outyard, ONE dead here, and that one was the one I expected to lose...   While I would DEARLY love to pat myself on the back.. I really wish I knew  WHY...  Genetics? My wintering method? Luck?    I guess it will take a few years to figure that out..   Anyhow, the video I took of the front hives while still floating on cloud 9..

Hope yall have a better connection than I do.. about ten minutes to watch a 3 min vid..

Nice  and good success on the over wintering. It is nice to hear, disappointing for the others in your club with high losses

Nice video lazy.  I like your hive stands (strap down ability also)  and hive location there.  I like hearing that hum too!  They are really utilizing the top entrances.  I have tops entrances as well.  And, boooo on the snow....we have some in the forecast also.
