Ice cold beer is for when its HOT and you worked too hard, or are fishing. It goes down fast and smoooooth, in other situations where relaxation is paramount?
1 to 2 shots of rum, (to taste) Captain Morgan Black is preferred.
Pour the rum over ice in a large glass.
Add 1 can of Diet Cherry Coke.
Sip and enjoy slowly...
Why DIET pop? Because rum is sweet, it seems too syrupy for me when normal pop is used. I have tried multiple different flavors and types.. Making the perfect drink is like reloading your own ammo.. you just HAVE to try all the variations, test them, and see what works best. For me, the cherry coke was the right combination. Got a bottle of Captain Morgan Black for my birthday.. before then I had been using normal Captain Morgans spiced rum.. the Black seems to perfect the mix.
I limit myself to two, you really dont want to over do these, they sneak up on you! But then, I dont usually drink more than two or three beers at a time either so limits may vary!
My son likes those strange beer concoctions with lime etc in them... what is happening to our young men? The girls are beginning to influence them in bad ways! (Shaking head sadly) Ruining a good beer with lime and sugar.... so sad... When he shows up with girly beer I always ask him if hes wearing Panties now?? Ahem... not that I would accuse Blue of doing that...........................
