Proud of my boy.
« on: April 11, 2014, 10:05:53 pm »
There was a collection of 160 kids chosen from over 25 choirs in the Province. They went to Halifax on Friday and Saturday, and performed on Sunday. Guest conductor Brian Tate (flew in from BC) took these kids, many of whom (my son included) that have only been singing since September, and got them to learn 6 songs in that time.
I can't carry a tune even if it was in a bucket, but my boy did alright.

Proud papa with good reason. Congrats.

i'd be very proud perry, very cool!

my son was in percussion in school, jr. high, and high school. he also played football.  i can tell you though, as much as i loved to watch him play football, i sure loved to watch him during school concerts on the drums and percussion instruments. something about music and musical instruments that brings out an artistic side, or their passion or desire.....

(different than football, knocking heads around and mowing each other over for pigskin and points....and to make the coach happy..... :D)

mine went through some similiar hair things.  think girls are fussy about their hair?  boys are just as fussy.  mine had a rat tail, but he did it because his uncle had one (still does) and it looked 'cool'.  he went through all sorts of phases, including the mullet doo, but i did draw the line when it came to something to do with funny colors.  funny, now he shaves his head bald.......go figure!......... :D
