Yesterday I checked my hives: 2 older ones and 3 of this years swarms; 2 of the swarm hives have filled a deep brood and started on the second one; they are both one month old. the third swarm hive; the smaller one; has filled 6 frames and doubled the amount of bees! the older hive which did all the swarming has capped honey in the brood boxes and has begun to fill the super. the other older hive has a full 10 frame super of honey and beginning the second one! this is the hive I have always gotten the honey from! I will give them till this weekend to fill a few more frames in 2nd super before harvesting honey!
