Earwigs

Tonight I noticed an unhealthy abundance of earwigs in front of my hives in the grass. Any suggestions?

Just be informed that the little buggers can sink those pincers on their hind ends into you and it hurts as bad as a sting.

I wouldn't worry about em.  Last year we had quite a few of them. Haven't seen many this year.

They like to hang out and have their young on top of the inner cover the wide end of the hive tool is great for squishing them. but tgey do no harm to the bees or hive so i ignore then.

SQUISH THEM BUGGERS!!!............ :D

some years they are worse than others, like apis said, i have on occasion found one or two on top the inner cover.  they don't bother the bees. they like damp dark areas, or wherever there is water/moisture.  like perry said though, they get those little pincers in you, it smarts.
