No worries at all.
My wife had to have her neck fused between C3 and C4 vertebrae, she was told to stay away from the horses. SHE DID stop riding her high spirited andalusian, but refused to stay off my Quarterhorse. We got her and her mom when she was two weeks old. I always let her out so she could follow me around, she was like a giant dog. Rubbing her head against me for attention or snacks. I had her driving when she was one, and was the first person on her back when she turned two. I could do anything with her. Get her to lay down, and then lay on her. We rode a lot of trails with our group, there were a few that rode mules.
We were riding the river trail, one of the mule guys yelled... Ibet you horse people wish your horses would do this! He slid down the bank into the river, another mule guy followed... my wife yelled at me.. DONT YOU DARE! yep I did. He told me he hated my horse... It should have been a mule... A long story short... my wife would come back from maine, saddle her up and head into town. She hadn't been ridden in close to a year, but she NEVER startled or threw a tantrum, but in the end, she was a horse, and it scared the hades out of me something would happen, and I would lose my wife, so i had to sell her.
I miss her a lot... ANYHOW, I have now made four sheaths. The first came out horribly, the second was.. acceptable if barely so... but I learned with each. Have made two that are pretty decent, and need to make more. Learned to dull the needles, the hard way. But, ANY tips or advice is always VERY welcome!
