dave, we really are a friendly group, love to talk bees and enjoy having some fun doing so. really hope you join in and look forward to reading your posts. it really is amazing where we all come from, especially when you look at the member map, pretty cool! but we have one great interest in common....BEES.....okay two.....QUEENS.....
liked how you said 'passion', agreed......keeping bees for me is really not a 'hobby', it's a passion!
oh and one other thing, you mentioned collecting old beekeeping items~ i think alot of us do.....a couple of my collections includes smokers and abc xyz books.....
won't say how many of these books i have!...........
my grandchildren have a lot to look through someday......
