great surprise

  Went to my out yard and in only two weeks my girls found something and filled four medium boxes that were capped. They also had another three boxes filled but were not yet capped so they were left for another day. The hives at home still not going to have any honey for me to harvest and will probably bring the next harvest from the outward and give to the home girls. Anyway i have bottled fifty two pounds so far and have another five gallon bucket still to bottle.

Good job rodmaker, i have found that's the advantage of having out yards, even if they are 60 miles away. 8) Jack

We tend not to pay as much attention to the yards the furthest away, so when we do go there, the surprises are often bigger!  :yes:
That does however, go both ways!  :o

We tend to look for good areas for our out yards, fields with irrigated crops, diverse forage, but our hives at home are placed because of the convenience and access that they provide to us. A lot of times the home yards are not good areas to keep hives at.
