Christmas Cards
« on: December 19, 2013, 12:58:23 am »
the price of christmas cards is outrageous!!!!!
i make my own sometimes, but then sometimes not very practical.

sometimes the cards have lots of  lah lah stuff that really doesn't apply to your family?........
i purchase separate cards for my mom and dad, cuz if i sent the card just to mom, she'd pass it on to him, he'd glance at it, oh, that's nice and and never read it and proceed to open the 5 lbs or so of bridge mix i sent him plus a nice gift card to cabellas ....... (me and my dad love bridge mix, besides that, and hunting fishing, that's pretty much what we can agree on LOL!)

i found this card today for my dad, it's totally funny, and really does apply:

HEY DAD!
Know what it takes to have a peaceful relaxing Christmas?
(open the card.....)

A different family

.....

and of course merry christmas, with love from me....... :D

merry christmas everyone!
i keep wild things in a box..........™
if you obey the rules, you miss all the fun.....katherine hepburn

It doesn't scan very well, but it's one of my favorites.  Here's hoping everyone has a great holiday season and a productive and honeyful new year!  :D

Unbeknownst to most theologians, there was a fourth wiseman who was turned away for bringing a fruitcake.

Cards and then postage adds up quick.  Around here we have a store called the Dollar Tree.  I bought some pretty nice cards there and they reflected the true spirit of the season (aka religious themes).  There 16 in a box for $1.00.  It's amazing what you can find there for a dollar.  Sometimes it's cheap junk, sometimes it's a great bargain.

The dollar stores are more informal than WalMart.   ;)
