wow! can't believe these are just this years swarms! 2 out of 3 April swarm hives are going gang-busters! the 1st one, especially! 17 days ago I checked them all -the 1st hive had not begun to fill the 2nd medium super. today this one is slap full! I added a 3rd super! this is my 2nd year keeping bees and boy am I excited! can you tell!? I'll get the pics this pm. thanks, Judy

Nice to heat this, Is also tells me that some potential honey production was lost due to not supering soon enough. But we will go with the its great to see that they filled all the space you provided and may they continue to store the nectar away.

Here's the super duper hive with 3 supers! the 2ND &3RD SUPER will be people honey! the 1st super is part sugar water!

Great going Judy!!
With a colorful hive like that you shouldn't have any problems with "bee drift".
I hope you have enough empty equipment ready and waiting so that you don't lose any of that upcoming crop due to a lack of preparedeness.

Congrats!  Tomorrow I am hoping to pull the 3rd super off of one of our hives that swarmed in April.  They filled up the first deep so fast, it caught me off guard.  The second was pulled and full in no time either.  When I pulled the first two supers off, I looked at the top deep and it had seven frames of honey!  So, I pulled some of those frames and replaced them with foundation.  I am betting I get over 100 lbs off that hive this year.  :)
