Update on the OB Hive;;;

   Yall didnt give me any better ideas so I did it like Frank and Perry.. MY WAY!

   There are 7 boxes, 3 frames each for a total of 21 medium frames. The Entrance is the same as a standard hive, so it will take normal entrance reducers, boardman feeders etc..  and there is enough room at the top for foam insulation for wintering..   shown with an entrance reducer, it also has a standard 3/4" top entrance..     I will be installing bees on drawn frames from an established hive tomorrow. WIll get some pics from the inside when the ladies are prepping their new home..

   Interested to see how they do with a single layer of glass between the heated house and them during winter.

   I do have a question for those of you who DO have OB hives..  do you keep the hive blocked off from light or leave it open Inside to watch them?

Blocked off from light except to observe.
That is sooooo awesome I can't believe it.
My wife would have a conniption if I even thought about doing that!
