The site looks good.
For farm gate sales post a sign with days and hours that you are open. To reinforce this have a open/closed sign in big letters displayed.

Hey Keith:

We don't really have farm gate sales, except for friends and folks that we know. One of the things my wife insisted upon was a seperate phone number for the "business", and no showing up at the door unannounced (which still happens from time to time).

On another note, I sent Bill Stagg an email after I watched several more of his videos on youtube (good stuff). I haven't got a reply yet, is he still in business?

Thanks for the kind words. I don't really think my site is something someone would have a link to. I don't have anywhere near the information that you have available on your site. I am thinking more along the lines of providing links to sites, ones that I feel have the information on them that I find of value (I like yours).
I still have some work to do on mine, I'm not completely sold on the way the rolling banner is sitting on the header, stuff like that. My IT friend and I will work on that a bit more. I also want to lose the picture of the bee yard (not mine) in the rolling banner, and replace with one of some honey, and a pic of a swarm.

Hmm yes Perry but remember that links to your site are how Google knows your site is worth putting into search results :)  I would do both if I were you.

Yep, links help your site get found, and make it more findable.
Pics are always good. People like to see them. Seeing someones face on their site often makes meeting them more fun..   You would, and WILL be amazed at how many people walk up to you at the state fair or the farmers market and say.. HEY! I know you! I read your website!
Finding out that there is a really nice person that goes behind the face makes for good friends, good conversations and good times.

A website is much like your HOUSE.. it will ALWAYS need work, and there will always be things you want to change and update. When you think you have it perfect, leave it alone a while. When you do go back to check on it, you will wonder.. Why did I write that?  and change it!
A website is much like a wood shop..   The perfect place to be with a hot cup of coffee on a COLD winter day.

Perry,

I will proudly link to you when I get through my site overhaul which is in line behind IRS taxes and state sales taxes.  Beautiful, good information offered with a personal touch, very nice. (and if you think your site needs work now, give it 15 years, it turns into Fibber McGee's closet on the internet.  Young people: google Fibber McGee.

Yes Bill still has bees and is still in bussness but he did resign from the job of being the area bee inspector for the province. He suffered higher losses last winter and is trying to regain his numbers. He is hard to get a response from at times.
