I've never seen one before, and it is an ugly thing. Hey Michelle, I see you live in Nova Scotia. You are fortunate, you could maybe hang with Perry and really get a jump start on your beekeeping adventure. OTOH, I may need to rethink that.
I bet Riverbee would eat that bug before it scared the pee out of her.
We have lots of grasshoppers in the summer, and when one lands on you it grips you with it's feet, and it is a creepy feeling.
My son is an entomologist, but I am not so keen of bugs.
