Now if you really want service, go to sears. My son bought life time shocks at sears for his truck. Over 500.00. This morning, I took his truck in for new shocks. They were totally gone. Sears said, "sure, for 150.00, we will replace them". :o   :o   :o
Only the part is warranted. Installation is 150.00.
I says, "OK,give me the shocks and I'll have them put on".
Sears, "If you do, the lifetime warranty will be voided". If we don't get our 150.00, we won't warranty them again in the future.

Now, that's what I call SERVICE.
The kind of service a bull gives a cow.

I'd let the BBB know about that.  They should have explained that when the shocks were purchased.

Sears was bought out by one of these super rich hedge fund guys about 10 years ago.  I’m sure those good guys  would have included the details of that warranty somewhere in their super fine print.  Maybe it was written in invisible ink.  ;D

OK, joking aside, I feel for you.  I went to Sears to buy a new battery when it was below 0F and my battery froze to death.  Turns out the auto section of Sears isn’t open on Sundays of all things!  I ended up going to Wally World and got a new battery.  No complaints, I didn't even get checked at the door.  Maybe I just look too honest   ;D

Years ago sears was a good place to go and buy and look around. I liked the help they gave us when we first walked in. they were very helpful and educated.  if you had any questions they could answer them for you.  Just about everything they sold was made in the US. My opinion sears got to big. They lost control of the company.

Sears use to be my go to place on tools, washers, dryers, compressors, etc. Now every time I go in there it's the feeling that I will be overcharged for inferior products.
The Sears near me looks like it is on the verge of going out of business also.

I think Sears was bought out by KMart.
Soon they will be in the graveyard with Montgomery Wards, I fear.  I think JC Penney's will follow as well.
