Thing are looking up, in my area anyway. The Red Maples are in full bloom and the willows are producing also. The bees were working them both hard yesterday. Watching for drones and swarm cells, three of the six hives that survived the winter are boiling over with bees. Sure would like to get some nucs off of them.

I've got capped drone cells Ray, I didn't uncap any. At the max I'm figuring first week of May the drones'll be out for a week.

Things are waking up in these parts . I only lost 1 nuc out of 32 hives this past year.
Here go for a walk in my main yard and they just started building up.I have drones in the hive and drone brood.

Aww, now Glock..  you have to spend a little more time, and tell the story that goes with each hive.. We need at least 30 minutes of GlockTalk!   ;D

I went in to winter with 32 hives and only lost one . all are very strong this year and brooding up nicely  .I have been working on my stock for 6 years now and have great northen over winter survival stock. I sell queens and nucs. my FB page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Butchs-Triple-Bee-Ranch/1536915886585348 there you can see it all my queens yards you name it. I add a few new things this year.

Hoping to have over 50 by fall.

it's going to bee insane this year. Bee's in tree's.

I love this time of the year can't wait till the flow starts  i'll have queens every whear  ;D

Thanks Jen :)  It's not one of my bees, actually -- there were honeybees all over the bushes outside where I work (maybe ten miles or so away from where I live), so I thought I would snap a quick shot.  Seems I'm not the only person keeping bees in this city.
