Honey B Gone.

They were climbing the wall to the roof. I sprayed it above them and they RAN down the wall. They got behind that sign so I sprayed and they ran out the bottom.

That stuff is great.

   Ted and I used the Honey B Gone from Scott Derrek in the cut out we did..   We vac'd the bees we could, and then sprayed.. it ran the bees OUT of the wall.. some went outiside, some went to the attic.. which is where the queen ended up..   Got her, got them ALL..   I am really liking that stuff as well.  The bonus is that it is NOT unpleasant to me at all!

I have a really nasty hive and they like to go for my ankles and legs. Saturday, I sprayed that stuff on my shoes and jeans. They wouldn't land on either.
They run from it. Lol

We did have an audience and I handed out several cards. The store also offered to pay for that one. I gave them a price. Not much, but I did feel OK with charging since we did all the ladder work and kept them from having to close down their store for maybe a day or two.

We'll see if they pay. Store manager said they would.

smells like almond/cherry.

Do you beeks out there think that Honey B Gone should be in our bee tool boxes?

I keep some in mine for sure, you can drive bees in different directions with it when doing cut outs.

A small rag on the end of a stick and pushed past the bees will have them coming towards you instead of away from you.

I have used it and when I used the bee vac it also pulled in the bee-go smell and they politely absconded when I got them back to the bee yard.

The first bottle I bought kind of melted, not sure if it was the oils in it or what.

Then they ran down behind the sign. Oh Great. So I sprayed behind the sign at the top and they all ran out the bottom. FAST. lol The ball got really big and just started falling into the deep I had set up under them.



That's a realy good idea with putting some on a cloth and stick. Wouldn't wast near as much.

I left my garage door open last summer by accident with supers in there. I had a garage full of bees. It was bad. so out of desperation. I turned a fan on at the back of the garage and sprayed a some in the back of the fan. The bees were outta the garage pretty quick.

Pack your smoker down real hard with your favorite tender to get the smoldering down to a minimum and then add a few squirts on top before closing the lid.
