Moving Frame Of Eggs To Hive #2
« on: May 21, 2015, 12:03:38 am »
Last week I put a queen from the nuc into the hive on the right. There should be eggs in this hive now. Hive on the left is queenless, I know that for sure. I want to put a frame of eggs into hive on the left and let them make a queen. Should I put the frame of eggs in the bottom hive box?

That is where I would put them, near the center in the bottom box, to be sure the bees tend them

When you see swarm cells where are they?
They WILL make queens from a frame you put anywhere, but given the choice, I would put them in the second box middle. Mark the frame.. and if your brave, notch a few cells so you know where the new queens will be!
