First Swarm Catch of the Year with Swag
« on: May 27, 2015, 05:13:40 am »
Even though this is not the first swarm I have caught, it is the first time I have witnessed the girls doing their swaggle dance.  Thought I would share.

Typical behaviour of the girls, fanning while exposing their nasonov glands.
First catch of the year, gotta love it. Thanks for sharing.

Nice! How high was that one?  I will catch my 12th tomorrow morning.  It turned cold/rainy and they are hanging on the side of a pole barn about 20 feet up.

I was able to reach the swarm from the ground.  However I still used a step ladder to assist.
