Ted was shot after the ride, I'll call him in the morning. Time for me to hit the sack as well!   Been a long day!

If Ted was shot it could be hard to call him.  :)

I have eaten coon that has been barbecued, but I have never tasted an oven baked or stove cooked coon.  To me, it's not what you are eating, but how good it tastes.  I do like grilled chitterlings.

My Great aunt could cook Raccoon as well as Iddee's son..  I remember as a kid wondering how on earth anyone got so many chicken legs..   Sometimes they were deep fried, sometimes pan fried, and every so often, if we were very lucky, she made Coon and noodles with Cornbread..
In a similar fashion, she knew what spices to use with what critter to make it taste the best. Muskrat, Beaver, etc..  TBH... deep frying a corn stalk could likely make it taste wonderful, but when you bake something you need to know what your doing.
When the Zombie apocalypse arrives we all know where to go to keep from starving to death.. and then all you folks cringing will be grinning and rubbing your hands together!    ;D
