According to the diagram and instructions. It says the cones are for the bees to exit easily and not have to crawl through the screen to exit.

Yes bees were placed in new yard several days before I put the traps on. I think about a week.

Now when I placed the trap on. I put it on in pollen trapping position.

I moved 2 new hives out there last night. I placed them about 50 ft away from the bee yard. They are both on the same stand. They both have the trap on them. I figure this will force them to find there way into their hive. Strong double deeps with lots of bee and brood in them.

We'll see what happens now.

BTW I have also email the company.

Ok.

Latest Update.

I moved 2 more strong hives to the sunflower fields and set the traps. Waited about 12 days and still no pollen n the trays. And here is what I found on the bottom when I replaced the traps.

Something is wrong with these traps. My guess is that they have the wrong size wire installed where the bees are supposed to go throug to get back into the hive. I replaced them with the Mann Lake traps and after 2 days harvested about a 1/2 pound of pollen today from the same 2 hives that I just had the sundance trap on for 12 days.

At least you'll get your money back. I'm hoping mine don't have the same problem.
