I inspected the hives at my house today. most looked good. one hive had no brood, no stores whatsoever, no queen, & only a few thousand bees. not even enough bees to combine so I shook them all out & removed the woodenware. they'll have to beg there way into the neighboring hives. I guess the queen died & they just went down from there.
