Great visit with Bryant!
« on: October 25, 2015, 08:35:34 am »
Forum member Bryant made a 3 1/2 hour drive to drop off 6 nuc boxes for next year (smart man getting in early) and spend some time hanging out. We spent darn near 3 hours yakkin and driving around to some of my bee yards and stuff, it was great. He arrived with some gifts of pickled beets, garlic and such (thanks buddy) :) and I got to show him around my disaster basement where I have just finished extracting this years crop. We had a good time (I did anyways) ;D and to top it all off didn't he find a hive tool I lost over a month ago, laying there on an empty pallet in one of my yards. I have half a dozen or so of them but the loss of this one seemed to bother me, maybe because it started the whole "I am starting to forget stuff" conversation I am having with myself lately. :D
Next time Bryant the weather should be warmer and we can crack a few lids and root around in some hives, maybe even do a BBQ or something as well. 3 1/2 hours is a long trip. :occasion14:

It's amazing how beekeeping can make total strangers into close buddies in an instant.
