Bee yard find!!

Bizzy Bee and me were cleaning up the bee yard and she wanted an old bee tree log moved to the burn pile. Hooked a chain around it and started to pick it up and out ran this little critter!



Usually very shy and quiet, but not too afraid of people. There are several nest of them around the farm.....yep flying squirrel had made her home in the old hollow log. Yep she got relocated.

I agree with Baker, how cute.  We don't have flying squirrels here.

Made a pet out of one when i was in grade school, it would stay in my pocket. Well most of the time , it got out in the class room and the girls and teacher started screaming and running toward the door. It scared me to because i didn't know Rusty got out of my pocket, or what they were screaming about. Needless to say, i got the day off from school to take Rusty home, and warned to never bring Rusty to school again. Jack
