NC visit

Iddee and CBT

Zulu and Jacobs

Mikey trying some of Zulu's sauce.

cover it up (don't he look like Rip Torn)? Just as wild too.

After we ate BBQ put on by the good folks at Bees Needz, we moved outside and played with some bees. Halfway through there was a call about a swarm nearby so Keith (the owner) Jacobs and I jumped in the truck and went and caught them and gave them a new home in Keith's yard. Crazy swarming going on when I was visiting NC.

Nice pictures!!!
Looks like the number of hives has expanded quite well.. there was a line of hives by the gravel driveway when we were there, most sitting on cinder blocks, looks like some nice hive stands were constructed...
Good to put faces to names, enjoyed looking at those. Thanks Perry!

What's with the drilled holes in the front? We call them Bird houses in Mo. not Bee hives. :D Jack

You can call them holes and bird houses. We call them numbered cow tags held on with a screw.

Name the date, Jen. I'll get the welcome party ready.

Take note in the OP. All the high class protective gear being worn. Our bees are so ferocious, all precautions must be taken.

I had enviously noticed that there was no PPE (personal protection equipment) in any of the pictures.  Oh, how I would love that.
