Removed these bees from a log on June 19th. Took a peek today and they have a queen. Very little capped brood to band up. They had a few capped queen cells. She's a beauty!

Nice big fatty gal.
Give them just a little time and she will prove herself.

Beautiful! She's a keeper for sure. G3 said it, give her time to figure it out and her patterns will be great!

Have a really nice hive in a tree that's about a mile away. I was going to do a little trap out. Owner said whenever I want, no hurry. One of my nucs that I had to requeen back at the end of May has decided it doesn't like the Italian girl so much. Found 5 capped supercedure queen cells and 2 more that had larvae in them. I think I will let them be for now so my new queen has some good feral stock to breed with.
