Plural for Apis?
« on: April 23, 2017, 07:32:48 pm »
I posted on my FB page a pic of my Apiary, and someone asked where the Apes were.

I told him they were in the trees, hiding from the bees.

He suggested the bees were in the trees hiding from the apes.

I told him, no, I could see the apis, but not the apes.

Now I'm left wondering, Apisis? Apii?

What's the plural?

Well that's embarrassing.

Seems the plural for Apis is Apes!   :eusa_doh:

On the other hand, maybe apis is already the plural for api:
