In the news

It looks like NS may be heading to the polls as an election may be called as early as Friday. We are continuing to pound on the government who seem hades bound to bring in SHB. Managed to get this in before the call.

Don't sound like they need to bring hives in. I bet there is money changing hands nobody knows about. There's other reasons for them wanting to do this, I have no idea what it could be. But it involves money

Ya gotta try, can't win the lottery if you don't buy a ticket. ;) ;)
Besides, for me it is only a matter of what's right and what's wrong.

“We haven’t reviewed it because it wouldn’t change… and the risk showed to be minimum to none,” he said in a phone interview April 21.

Well that's scientific.  We haven't reviewed because it wouldn't change?  How does he know if he hasn't reviewed it?  Did time stand still in Ontario while the rest of the world progressed?

 :\'(

Oh, but he has to come out in look in everyone of Perry's hives, because, obviously, things have changed in Nova Scotia since 2015, and his hives might just be fakes!

If the government is satisfied the pollination requirements can be met with Nova Scotian hives, Colwell said it will be time to review the Pollination Expansion Program that was established to encourage the creation of more beehives.
“If indeed, there are enough hives after we do an inspection here in the province, we’re going to take that quarter of a million dollars and put it into something else.”

This sounds like a threat.  Is there some kind of financial aid that would be withdrawn from NS beeks like you if he pulls the plug on this program?

It was indeed a threat, but that is not really the issue. Most keeps here realize that now that we have hit the required growth asked of us by the government, the program should probably come to an end. What the Minister is suggesting however, is to short shift those that have already spent their own 50% of the program before it closed a few months ago. In other words, in Dec. last year he announced the program, members applied until the closing date, spent their money, and now he is suggesting they might not get the governments portion.
I have absolutely no respect for the man, none at all.
