Moldy frames
« on: July 05, 2017, 06:08:19 pm »
Hello all! Long time no chat...   I need the collective brain once again....

I have a friend who left a cover off one of her dead hives, and the frames got moldy... are the frames salvage able or should she burn the lot?   The wax would be cut out on either case...

I would be surprised if the bees don't clean that up.  :)

I'm with Lee on this one. Clean them up a bit (burr comb) and pop them in. Any idea why they died in the first place though?
