One step at a time...   More studies are finding problems with Neonics...   I just wonder what will be done to correct the problem with so much money on the line.

As as correctly pointed out to me, this does not help us at all marketing our honey as a wholesome healthy product. Bad press indeed.

Yeah, therein lies the problem. Not to politicize the issue, but Monsanto has some very deep pockets, containing many members of the legislature.

Here's the rub, as I see it. Despite all the fears from beekeeper's, the research indicates that neonics are not as rough on bees as first feared. Bees, however only live for 6 weeks or so. My question is, if this stuff is in all of our food, (at levels the FDA believes is harmless), what happens to people that eat it for 20-30 years?

Yes, my honey label says, "Pure Honey from Lee's Bees."  I wonder how long I can continue that claim?

lee........me too. label says pure honey.........it still is, but would be interested in having it tested to find out because my bees are in the middle of farm country like so many of us. scary thought about it being tested, might not like the results.

If not for modern advances in test equipment the levels of these chemicals could not be detected. Old school was looking for ppm(parts per million). The detected levels in this study were in ppb (parts per billion).
