Being a new beek i notice more plants.
This is blooming all over se n.c. in ditch line. Only seeb bumble bees.

bearded beggar tick? or crowned beggar tick? sort of an aster/sunflower we have them up here...........Bidens aristosa, but there are different varieties.

mikey, i am uncertain of this, possibly for pollen?  i think it is more of a pollen source and not for nectar. i think this plant may be more beneficial to native bees and bumbles? our variety is similar to your pic although sparse, and i see native bees and bumbles on them more than i see honey bees.
