Remember this guy?
« on: September 04, 2017, 08:33:05 pm »
I posted a pic a while back of a raggedy looking fox that had bad mange. I saw this fellow twice today and managed to catch him on video. He doesn't seem all the afraid of humans, and in the first video he is actually eating cobs of corn the farmer set out for his cattle. The cows don't look impressed. :D

On the way home I spotted him just off the road going the other way, looks like he has a limp.

Could it be possible that this fox is the mangy one in the other post?

Same area so quite likely. Skinny as all get out and not a great coat to this point, but Wildlife says they either beat mange or succumb to it by winter.

When I first spotted him/her I wanted to see if it could be trapped and medicated and then released but they don't do that.

You could catch him in a live trap, and leave him in the trap, dip him in the mange dip and take him out and release him.
THAT, is what my wife would order me to do...
THEN, she would feed him, and all the neighbors cats, and the local raccoons, and skunks, and a possum or two.

Mrts River....    "YOU" would be in the doghouse?   I am doing something wrong...   I end up in the doghouse for getting upset with her for doing such things!

Compromise. She is always willing to compromise...

My wife wanted horses... I didn't want horses... so we compromised!  We got horses...
